ACCOUNT DELETION

Delete your HiTutor account

Last updated September 5, 2026

You can request deletion of your HiTutor account and associated data by email, even if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in. You do not need to reinstall the app.

Request account deletion by email

The button opens your email app. You can also copy the address below. Send the email to submit your request; clicking the button alone does not delete your account.

1. Request by email

Email hitutor.app@gmail.com with the subject “HiTutor account and data deletion request”. If possible, send it from the email address linked to HiTutor.

Include the email shown in your HiTutor account and your sign-in method (Google or Apple). If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, include the relay address shown in HiTutor if you know it. If you cannot access the linked email or do not know your account email, explain this in your request.

Do not send passwords, verification codes, identity documents, or payment card details. We may request limited information to verify ownership and protect your account. After verification, we process the deletion and reply with the outcome. We will explain any additional verification or retention exceptions.

2. Delete in the app

If you can sign in, you can also open HiTutor → Profile → Settings → Delete account. Review the data deletion, re-registration, and subscription notices, then confirm deletion.

Keep the support deletion reference shown on the completion screen if you need it. It can help us confirm the deletion in a support request; it is not a sign-in credential.

3. Data that is deleted

When deletion is executed, the following account-linked data is removed from HiTutor’s live database. Deleted accounts and learning records cannot be recovered.

  • Email address, display name, sign-in links, and authentication sessions
  • Learning profiles and settings, conversation records, and remaining temporary transcripts
  • AI feedback, corrections, review history, learning plans, and progress records
  • Account-linked usage, entitlements, subscription status, and device and push registrations

4. Records that may remain

Account deletion does not erase every record in every system at the same time. The following exceptions apply.

  • A one-way hash, deletion reference, deletion time, and related status remain to prevent duplicate trials, premature re-registration, and evasion of account restrictions. These records currently have no fixed automatic expiry. The usual 72-hour re-registration waiting period is not their retention period. You can contact the same email address about deletion of retained records.
  • Backup copies and security and operational logs are managed separately from immediate account deletion. Records needed for legal obligations, disputes, or fraud prevention may be retained with restricted access for the period required for those purposes. We explain applicable retention reasons and periods when handling your request.
  • HiTutor does not store raw audio, but external AI processors may apply separate retention policies to security and abuse-monitoring records. Deleting your app account does not immediately erase every record held by an external provider.
  • Website launch notifications and newsletter subscriptions are separate from your app account. If you also want those data deleted or consent withdrawn, include that in your email.

5. Subscriptions and re-registration

Deleting HiTutor does not delete your Google or Apple account, cancel a store subscription, or request a refund. To avoid further charges, cancel active subscriptions separately in Google Play or Apple subscription settings. You can request account deletion regardless of whether you have cancelled a subscription.

You normally cannot register again with the same social account for 72 hours after deletion. Re-registering does not grant another initial free trial. Account enforcement restrictions may prevent re-registration for longer.
